I’m all about chasing your dreams. I mean, look at this blog. It started as just a little way for me to document all of the shows I go to, and it has completely blown up to something much larger than I could have ever dreamed. Any and all dreams are something worth chasing and that’s exactly what “Getting It Right” from Darcy Baker is about.

Not only is the message of this song so on point and perfect, but the overall vibe of this track is flawless. It’s a pop-punk jam with an energy behind it that makes it perfect for a sleepy and slow-moving Monday morning. Overall, this track is bright, but there’s a subtle severity to the vocal tone that helps really drive the message of this song home in such a perfect way. I got a little bit of everything from Cartel to Four Year Strong throughout this song, and although those are both super nostalgic sounds, I love the fact that this song felt fresh. Whether you want to get lost in the infectious energy of this song or just be reminded of the powerful message behind it, “Getting It Right” is a great pick-me-up song for those days when you just want to throw in the towel. As Darcy Baker says, “There’s nothing like, getting it right.”
