Nobody really likes to play the villain in any story but, sometimes, it’s a necessary evil. That’s what Sarina’s new song is all about (as you can probably tell from the title). That’s not what hooked me into this track and, subsequently, Sarina’s world. What hooked me was the sound of this single.

Tokyo-based Sarina has such a smooth and soulful voice. It’s the first thing that you hear when it comes to this four-minute song, but that smoothness takes a turn after just a couple of seconds. Although the beginning of this song starts off as cool, calm, and collected, it turns into a complete rager of a song, complete with an undeniable sense of piss, vinegar, and fire. I’ll be honest, overall, this song leans a bit more commercial than I tend to go for, but it’s that aforementioned piss, vinegar, and fire that kept me engaged throughout this entire song. There’s just something so convincing and powerful about the vocals throughout this song that you feel almost helplessly trapped in Sarina’s world (in the best way possible). Just one of this song will leave you wanting so much more from Sarina so, go ahead, dig into some of her other material out there and make sure to follow her as I have a feeling that there is so much more to come.
