I should really be doing chores around the house to get ready for what will surely be an insane week but, truthfully, that’s just not making me happy right now. What is making me happy is checking out new music so let’s keep it going and take a listen to “Wile Out” from Old Chase.
“Wile Out” is one of those songs that came to me without much information. All I know is it’s a new single from an upcoming album from Old Chase and, truthfully, that’s all I need to know. This song is skate punk perfection. It’s a little Lagwagon, a little NOFX, and all furious energy. At just a minute and a half, this is a super short song made to feel even shorter with the quick pace, but I love how, even with that, Old Chase is able to make this feel like a complete song. “Wile Out” smells like cheap beer, it feels like a sweaty mosh pit in a dingy basement venue, and all of that is what makes this such a perfect track.
