I’m more tired than usual. The weekend was insane, and last night’s show went way later than any Sunday night show should. Although it was a later-than-normal night, I still had to be at my day job bright and early this morning, but I can tell that I’m in need of a kick in the butt to get going this morning, and “Deathwish” from Perpetual Paradox is a kick in the butt and then some.

Perpetual Paradox hit the London scene just a couple of years ago in October of 2021, but clearly, they know exactly what they are doing. Although this is a blistering three minutes and thirteen seconds of pure chaos, there’s something so organized and so well curated about this song. It’s heavy and brutal with the kind of vocals that would have made my parents cringe back in the day, yet I found a sense of solace in this track. Although the vocals may be hard to understand, the talent of this band is not. From the steady yet heavy-hitting drums to the dazzling guitar solo that ends this track and everything in between, it’s clear that Perpetual Paradox is a band to keep an eye on.
