I’m not typically one for live songs. Honestly, if I want to hear something live, I will just go see it. I know that sounds so bratty, but it’s true. I just feel like, although I like the rough-around-the-edges effect that many live songs have, it’s just a bit distracting to me. Although you get a little bit of the raw energy from “Comes and Goes (Live at SG Studios)” by T.A.C., this live recording is just far too good to ignore.

Obviously, recording live at a studio is a bit different than recording live at a performance, but I love how this song seems to bring in the best of both of those worlds in this single. Everything comes through crystal clear throughout the four-minute-long song, but there’s that raw grit that can only come from a live performance as well. T.A.C. has a super great, no-frills kind of rock song. Although I call it no frills, there’s no lack of uniquness or creativity here. This song in particular seems to have a slight old-soul kind of style to it, but with a modern edge. I love that you can hear this Texas-based band pay homage to the decades of rock music that came before them while using it to blaze their own trail. Ripping solos, a catchy chorus, and more swagger than should be put into one single track, “Comes and Goes (Live at SG Studios)” from T.A.C. is the perfect song to help get you moving on a sleepy Monday morning.
