I’m in the mood for fast and aggressive songs right now. Either that or soft and sweet lullabies that help whisk me away from everything happening around me. I’ve been dabbling between these two worlds since I woke up this morning and I still can’t decide which one is hitting me better and harder but I know that “I KNOW” from Bad Data instantly caught my ear and, after listening to it a few times this morning, I can’t help but tell you about this track.
As the band says, “Hope you’re ready to drive a car really fast to this song.” Honestly, that’s such a perfect description of this song. This three minute song comes at you at break neck speed but the band doesn’t sacrifice their unique style and flare. There’s a slight rap-metal kind of influence throughout this song but there’s also an almost Beastie Boys styled hip-hop element and an almost EDM styled instrumentation. All of these things combine to create a song that you can not escape. An energy that you will gladly take punch after punch, and a sound that will not be soon forgotten. I don’t know much about Bad Data as a whole but I know that they have my attention and my heart right now.
