Girl at the Rock Shows

I wasn’t kidding when I said I wanted to spend a lot of time today checking out new music. I know I already hit you with one single this morning but I’m ready to hit you with another one already. Let’s go ahead and give “Show Me What You Got” from Kat Meoz a spin on this early Monday morning!

The first thing that struck me about this single is the swagger. It’s sexy but it’s dirty– crystal clear but with the feeling of mud. Within just a few seconds, I found myself completely lost in and enamored with this Los Vegas-based artist’s voice. Stylistically, “Show Me What You Got” bridges the gap between a rock n’ roll sound and that bluesy grit that you would expect from an artist based in the deep south. On top of all of that, there’s this energy that makes this track hit you like a shot of adrenaline to the heart. I love the fact that Kat’s vocals, at times throughout this anthem, feel almost daring as if they are daring you to try and figure out this amazing songstress out. At other times, the softness of her voice welcomes you in like the most comfortable hug you’ve ever felt. None of these things should work well together but Kat Meoz has found a way to bring them all together into the beautiful melting pot and anthemic track that is “Show Me What You Got.” If I were you, I would dig into Kat Meoz a bit today and get on this train now because it’s just a matter of time before Kat Meoz’s name blows up.
