I know it wasn’t that long ago that I shared “Square Peg” from No Pterodactyls with you, but maybe some of you missed it, maybe some of you just weren’t paying attention. Either way, I’m back today with another stunning song from this band that you just can not skip over or ignore.
The fourth single from their new album, “Imposter,” is a quick and dirty song that’s full of ferocity and full of love. The band is quick to show you some of the tricks they have up their sleeves in this song. After a quick, thirty-ish second intro, the band changes everything about this track. It goes from a twinkly and calm kind of serenade to something a bit more explosive and a bit more angsty while still being full of twinkly moments that will catch your ear and change-ups that will keep you guessing until the end of this track. I love how this band doesn’t stick to one thing. “Imposter” isn’t one genre, it’s not one tempo, one vibe, one feeling– it’s a million of those things all flawlessly wrapped into one cohesive track that will instantly grab your heart and never let go.
