I really try not to play favorites with this blog, but sometimes, a band comes along, and I just can not get enough of them, so I find myself sharing multiple singles from said band. That’s the case with Birds?. This band had me hooked with the first single I ever heard from them, and, although their new album ‘We Will Never Know, and That’s Okay’ is now officially out, I think today is a good day to remind you that this band, and this album specifically, deserves your attention.

“For Heaven’s Sake” is the opening track from ‘We Will Never Know, and That’s Okay’ which just came out last month. Right off the bat, this song will catch you with Birds?’s distinct mathy-emo blend before the full band comes in and hits you right in the gut with the energy and catchiness of this song. I think what I love the most about this track in particular is how it seems to be all over the place. That mathy-emo intro comes in and out throughout this four-minute song like sunlight cutting through a street decorated with leafy trees. These cutouts are supplemented by everything from an indie rock kind of vibe to these mini-breakdowns that evoke such an insane amount of emotion not only from the band, but, ultimately, from your soul. I don’t know what’s in the water over in West Chester, PA, but I know that I’ll have whatever this band is drinking because it’s full of life but also isn’t afraid to get raw with it.
