Have you ever had a Nerds Gummy Cluster? You know, the candy? Truthfully, I have very little sweet tooth, but there’s something about this cavity-finding candy that I just can not get enough of, and, in celebration of my birthday on Monday, my boss got me a bag of it. I can’t stop, but at the same time, I need to stop, so I’m hoping that taking a break to check out “Finish Line” from Downstater will give me a reason to stop mowing down on these delicious little candies.
I didn’t get a lot of background on this song or band, but within just a few seconds, I realized that I don’t need any background. This is a hard-hitting, fast-paced punk song with a slight lean into something a bit more classic hardcore. “Finish Line” is the perfect song for those days when you are out on your board just soaking up some sun or on days like mine, where you’re stuck at the office just longing for the moment when you can escape. Either way, “Finish Line” will fill you with a sense of energy and that perfect amount of angst to help you get whatever you’re doing done in no time. This isn’t the first song I’ve shared from this Canadian band; it won’t be the last, so do yourself a favor and spend some time with them today.
