I’m a sucker for intriguing names so, of course, I was already hooked when a submission came across my desk from Swedish band Mountainbike Death Tigers.
Even though I was hooked by the name, I stayed for the music. “Drug Eagle” is a quick song at just a second under two minutes long but holy crap this song packs a punch. It’s very garage-punk feeling and has a cool almost grainy recording quality to it that just enhances that sound. It’s loud, in your face, and aggressive with everything from the drums, to the vocals, to the squealing guitars. Although it’s quick, there’s a clear chorus to this song that will surely get stuck in your head and have you humming it even after you’ve finished listening to the track.
Get up, get moving, get that blood flowing, “Drug Eagle” from Mountainbike Death Tigers is the perfect song for your mid-afternoon slump!
