Right when “Gravity Killer” from Pharsalia started playing I got a hit by a wave of nostalgia. A short sample kicks this song off before pop-punk leaning post-hardcore guitars take over and vocals worthy of Senses Fail circa 2004 come in. This track is so full of nostalgia but also full of a sound that can only be describe of Pharsalia. There’s something ridiculously heavy about the instrumentation but the vocals keep this song from going too post-hardcore to consider it just that.

Catchy guitar riffs and a chorus that will instantly get stuck in your head, the energy of this song is insane and it instantly made me want to catch the next flight to Delaware in hopes of catching this band live. I can see the guitars swinging over the players’ heads and the vocalist toying with the audience while sweating all over the front row of people who would be inevitably be rocking out and losing their minds. Much like the other song I shared out this morning, “Gravity Killer” just really paints a perfect picture of Pharsalia’s sound and energy in a way that puts you in their audience even if you’re just sitting at your desk trying to get through another work day.

Long story short, this song is perfect and is sure to give you some nostalgic feels while giving you hope for the future of the scene.
