Girl at the Rock Shows

Although today hasn’t been a great day thus far for me, I keep on trying to remind myself that it’s not the worst. It seemed almost serendipitous that “Worst Days” from North Ghost would be next on my docket to share because, well, look at that song title.

Although “Worst Days” is about those that you lean on when everything is going wrong, I felt like it was almost a personal pep talk with what has been going through my head throughout today. A pop-punk-perfect kind of track, not only did the lyrics speak to me on a special level, the overall vibe of this track was soothing my soul. I am calling this a pop-punk-perfect song for obvious reasons but it doesn’t have the same bouncy quality that most of my pop-punk jams have. Okay, it does, but it’s in a different form. There’s something tender about this song which fits perfectly with the support I was searching for throughout the two minutes and fifty seconds that the track lasted. We all have those friends that we lean on but, if you’re stuck in an office and can’t phone a friend or cuddle with your cat at that moment that you need it the most, “Worst Days” from North Ghost can absolutely help you get through.
