Happy Tuesday! You thought I disappeared, didn’t you? It ends up that a mixture of trying to fight 13 shows into 6 days and then having your family in town to go to a Vikings game will really take a toll on you and leave you with nothing but a terrible case of strep throat and exhaustion but, no need to fear. I’m back and ready to share some more amazing new music with you this week starting with “Running With The Dogs” from Filthy Filthy.
If you’re a fan of just a classic punk sound, “Running With The Dogs” is for you. The vocal style is very much in the vein of Rancid with a beat and infectious instrumentation that reminded me of Social Distortion. Filthy Filthy has this uncanny way of making this track sound and feel rushed while not feeling frantic or chaotic in any way, shape or form. It’s a perfect balance this is hard to pull off but is done so expertly throughout this two and a half minute track. So what are you waiting for? Raise a fist and sing along to this anthemic jam from Filthy Filthy!
