You ever have a moment, in the middle of a mild panic attic, where you are finally able to just take a deep breath and realize that there’s nothing to even panic about? That just happened to me. I’ve been trying to get so much work done today as I continue to play catch up from being gone over the weekend but I just had the realization that it will get done when it gets done. This doesn’t mean I can slack off but more means I can only work as fast as I can and trying to speed that up won’t help me. As a very anxiety-ridden person, these moments are moments I try to have more often but are hard to come by so I’m going to celebrate this epiphany by checking out yet another new song today.
“Static” is the opening track from Crasher’s upcoming album ‘Speaking Terms’. As Crasher explained, “I wanted to pick a fight and win with static”. Maybe that string of words doesn’t quite make sense right now but, one listen to “static”, and I promise it will! There’s an intensity to this track reminding me a bit of IDLES and Viagra Boys. It’s almost threatening but in a thrilling kind of way. There’s no denying the energy that you get with every second of this nearly three minute song. It’s aggressive and in your face but a little hollow at the same. There’s really no chance that I could use words to accurately describe the genius that is “Static” from Crasher so why don’t you just go ahead and check it out for yourself.
