Girl at the Rock Shows

I’m not sure how but we have somehow hit another Monday. Ready or not, it’s here and I, for one, was definitely not ready when my alarm went off this morning. That being said, I am determined to get motivated and get crap done today so let’s get a great soundtrack going for the day full of new music starting with “Leave You Behind” from Fire Roots.

Fire Roots is a five-piece from with members from Australia, South American, and the UK. Yeah, that’s right, this band has members from literally all over the world and I feel like you can really feel that throughout this three and a half minute track. With a sense of pop-punk in some of the vocals, a more alt-rock vibe from the instrumentation and an almost 90s vibe that radiates throughout this song, I love how everything about this song feels just a bit different. I’m not saying the individual parts of the track as I could tell you the tens of bands that I could hear throughout this track but it’s more how Fire Roots takes all of these elements and weaves them together into a perfect sound that stands out while coming off as familiar. Full of energy and heart, “Leave You Behind” from Fire Roots is a solid way to kick off your Monday.
