Girl at the Rock Shows

I have nothing witty yet today. I feel like I’m still warming up so let’s just jump into another song that will help get your week started off right. This one is “Boswell” from The Sons of James.

The third release of 2023 for this Florida band, “Boswell” is one of those perfectly anthemic skate punk tracks that will both give you a sense of energy while also getting stuck in your head. The passion comes through right away with the vocals of this song. They have a bit of an old school punk punch to them while still having a very fresh feeling. Add the storming guitars and steady drums and you are left with a song that is just a touch aggressive but more energizing than anything else. I love that The Sons of James doesn’t try to rush the tempo in this song or add in too many notes. Instead, Boswell takes their time with every element that makes up “Boswell” making a stand-out song that is effortlessly catchy.
