It’s lunch time here at the office and I think I’m finally reaching the end of my Thanksgiving leftovers (thank goodness). I’m over it and ready for something new but am also the type that doesn’t like food to go to waste. I’m just kind of feeling blah about it. I mean, don’t get me wrong– my corn casserole was on point this year and I love me a good Tofurkey but, again, just over it and ready for excitement. Although that excitement isn’t coming from my food, it is coming from checking out Bury Mia’s new track “From The Comfort Of My Kia Sorento”.
It seems that every Bury Mia song title speaks to my soul and this one is no different. Although I’ve never had a Kia Sorento, my first two cars were Kia Rios so I am already relating to this track on a very deep level. All joking aside, this song is a bop. It’s the epitome of pop-punk-perfection but comes with an edge that I am now only going to refer to as Bury Mia. It’s one part snark with the lyrics, one part cuteness with the music video and truly all heart with everything else. Apparently Bury Mia had hidden this song away for a couple of years but recently re-did it with their current line-up and I am truly thankful they did. Bury Mia hits hard with every single I hear from them. They are definitely one of the bands that I have my eyes (and soul) glued to right now.
