Girl at the Rock Shows

I still haven’t crashed today but I’m definitely going down. Getting sick is the worst because you know it’s coming, you know it’s going to ruin everything, but you can’t do anything to stop it. I mean, I guess I could go home and sleep it off but, when you’re a workaholic like I am, that’s just not an option so let’s check out another new track as a sort of distraction from the infection I can feel festering in the back of my throat.

“Perdere Diem” is definitely my pop-punk-perfect pick of the day. You get that perfection as soon as this song start off. There’s very little intro or warning before you are blessed with this Ohio group’s emo/punk blend. The guitar work throughout this track is quite dazzling giving it a more modern flare than pop-punk from decades gone by but, throughout this song, you get nods to those greats from the past. The Hotelier meets The Early November with a dash of Tiny Moving Parts thrown in there, Northern Weather is going to be your new favorite band if, like me, you grew up in the pop-punk and emo scenes of the early 2000s.
