Girl at the Rock Shows

It’s only 8AM and it has already been a day for me. I’m not saying I’m ready to throw in the towel already, more that I just need to take a couple of minutes and just chill so that means now seems like the perfect time to jump into my first track of the day which is “Say You” from Carrabelle.

“Say You”, as the band puts it, is “a song about uncertainty that drives and hits hard” which is honestly the best way to describe this track. It’s dreamy and even atmospheric at times but also has this punch behind it that hits you right in the gut and the soul in a very powerful way. I love how there’s a catchy hook in this track but it’s not obvious. It’s like this sound that seeps into your mind and then, after listening to the track, it keeps popping up in your thoughts. It’s an odd yet impactful thing that will have you thinking about Carrabelle and “Say You” in particular throughout the day so don’t say that I didn’t warn you.
