Girl at the Rock Shows

Okay, my day went from flying by to approaching the slowest crawl of all time. I’m planning an escape from the day job a bit early so I can go home, take a nap, and reset but I can’t do that this soon so I need to power through at least a couple more hours and needs more songs like Corretta’s “Tap!” to help me get through it.

I’m honestly not typically one for noise styled music. I don’t get it. I find it hard to find the beat half the time and, the other half, I feel like I’m constantly on the verge of an anxiety attack. I should love noise music. It’s loud, chaotic, and in your face but it’s just typically too much for me. Somehow, Corretta has a noise rock vibe about them that I just can not get enough of. Sure, you get the chaos and music that verges onto the anxiety attack inducing vibe that I often get from noise rock but Corretta balances every tender line so perfectly and they had me hook line and sinker within the first few seconds of “Tap!”. Call it a genre-bending song, or maybe a cutting-edge band, regardless, “Tap!” from Corretta will hook you and leave you wanting so much more from this California band.
