Girl at the Rock Shows

Being able to check out so much music on a daily basis is truly a thrill and, like I’ve mentioned before, it’s a way for me to travel the world without getting on a super scary airplane (and yes, they are super scary). For today’s travels, we are heading to Italy courtesy of Valy and their song “Arcobaleni”.

I know I could do a deep dive into Google Translate to figure out what the lyrics of this track and the description that Valy left with it means but that’s no fun nor is it needed as this song absolutely stands on its own. “Arcobaleni” is a poppy little jam but with a bit of a sharp tongue. Again, I don’t know what they’re saying but I love the attitude that seems to come through your speakers with every word. It’s a mix of the delivery and the inflection of each word. The lyrics fly by in an almost rap-styled beat which is just another super cool thing about this track. Valy clearly isn’t restrained to just one genre. There were moments throughout this song that reminded me a lot of Snow Tha Product, others that felt more just commercialized pop, and a few glimpses of something very Paramore-esque and in the pop-punk world. Long story short, “Arcobaleni” from Valy is a super fun song that will put a smile on your face and give you a “IDGAF” attitude at the same time which is absolutely perfect and more than worth your time this morning.
