Happy Monday, everyone! I know some people have the day off due to the holiday but I am not one of those people. That being said, my day job is super dead so I need some music to keep me motivated to get other stuff done and stay awake so let’s get into it starting with “Time Bomb” from Omernac.
Omernac claims to be “The Next Generation of Pop Punk”. This is a bold statement but, after listening to “Time Bomb”, I don’t think it’s wrong. Omernac is only eighteen years old and although you can feel that youthful energy throughout this three minute song, you can also hear nods to the pop-punk greats of decades gone by. “Time Bomb” is bright and poppy but definitely has that slight punk edge to it that keeps it feeling thrilling and really hooks your attention. Although perfectly produced, you see glimmers of angst and passion come through in this song which is just the icing on the cake. If you’re looking for a song to get you going on this frigid Monday, “Time Bomb” and everything else from Omernac is perfect for you.
