It’s Tuesday morning and it’s freezing. That’s about my mood in a nutshell right now. It’s not a good mood, not a bad mood, but a for sure a mood. I can’t quite figure out how I want my day to start music-wise. Do I want something upbeat and poppy to brighten up my day or do I want something moody and dark to help me ease into the day. Let’s just let me never-ending list of music to share out choose for me.

The music Gods have decided a little bit of everything is what I need this morning because that’s exactly what you get from “Letting Go Of Ghosts” from Lives Lost. Although this song isn’t new as it came out two years ago, it hit me like a ton of bricks. This song has that perfect balance between power and tenderness. Powerful and anthemic choruses are matched by heartfelt and emotional verses which all come together to create a masterpiece that will both make you feel everything in your heart and soul while giving you a burst of energy. There’s a slight sense of nostalgia that comes through in this song that reminded me a bit of Silverstein and Saosin but, overall, Lives Lost have a very fresh sound and an energy that begs to be experienced so what are you waiting for?
