Girl at the Rock Shows

I mean, just look at that band name. If that doesn’t have you intrigued, look at that song title. Yeah, it might be “I-I∆rd T0 Und3r$t∆nd” but, at the same time, it drew me into this song so perfectly and I felt a sense of excitement as I hit play on the track.

Right off the bat, I was a bit confused by the track. The vocals aren’t perfect and the instrumentation felt a bit hollow yet I was hooked. There’s something raw, something real and genuine about the song. After a couple of seconds, you get a full band sound and that’s when that intrigued turned to love. The energy mixed with all of the perfect imperfections that seem to make Straight Pepper Diet distinct created an assault on my ears that I never wanted to end. This song is a bit chaotic as you switch from a wailing guitar solo back to those raw vocals without any ease into it but I loved that about the song. This one is not a song that is going to be for everyone and I understand that but I hope you appreciate “I-I∆rd T0 Und3r$t∆nd” for the genius work that it is and I hope that at least some of you will be intrigued enough to check out some other material from Straight Pepper Diet.
