Happy Wednesday, everyone! We’ve made it to the halfway point of the week and I hope it’s going well for you. I hope you are feeling accomplished and not letting the fact that the week is half done get to you. There’s still a lot of time to get work done and all of those pesky tasks you surely have sitting on a to-do list at home accomplished but, more importantly, there’s still a lot of time to check out some new music this week so let’s work on that by starting today off with “Fool’s Gold” from Halfway Down.

This debut song from this 4-piece band from Saint Paul, MN is the perfect track to kick your day off with. It has a perfect balance of pop-punk emotion and hardcore energy making it a song that will both kick you in the teeth while giving you a warm hug. The vocals in this song are so well done. They are crystal clear but also emit an undeniable sense of energy and heart with every word that passes. Whether you get hooked by the pop-punk tendencies or stay for the more hardcore inspired energy, “Fool’s Gold” will have you falling in love with this new band in no time. After hearing this debut track, know that it won’t be long before you see a live show review of this band. I mean, this song begs to be heard live and, being a local-to-me band, I will be dropping everything to get out see them.
