Girl at the Rock Shows

I can feel my throat starting to act up. My body is a bit achy and, to be quite honest, I just feel crummy. I can’t get sick right now. I have too many amazing shows coming up, a wedding this weekend, and far too much work to waste any time in bed. I know powering through illness is never the smart thing but that’s all I can think to do. In all reality, it “Could Be Worse”… okay, cheesy bridge into my review of “Could Be Worse” from M@ but it’s fitting and although I’m feeling a bit under the weather, this song is helping me get through.

M@ (also known as Matt Baumbach) is from the New York hardcore band- Vision of Disorder. You can feel that as this song plays through. I mean, this is not a hardcore song. In fact, it’s almost a soothing little alt-rock jam but you can feel the intensity that Matt has carried over from his hardcore days. It’s this intensity that sets this song apart from everything else out there right now. Admittedly the hardest track on M@’s album, “Could Be Worse” will draw you into M@’s world with ease. It will give you vibes of nostalgia mixed with a brand new sound and a deafening amount of energy. It’s not too aggressive, not too light- it’s perfect and it’s definitely worth a listen today!
