Girl at the Rock Shows

I can’t figure out what to listen to today. I started my day off with a normal trip down my pop-punk nostalgic lane but then quickly changed to something a bit more aggressive and angry. Neither of these vibes are hitting just right. Maybe it’s the certain songs I’m playing or maybe today is just one of those days where my music ADD is going to get the best of me. Regardless, I think this is all a sign that it’s time to check out a new song and a new band.

I know I just said that my trip down my standard pop-punk nostalgia lane wasn’t hitting right but apparently pop-punk is my mood because “GOOD FOR NOTHING” from Sr. is hitting me perfectly. It’s a fresh take on a nostalgic pop-punk vibe with a sense of perfection that does not go unnoticed. Heartfelt vocals paired with power chords and powerful yet not overpowering drums are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to this song. The chorus here is beyond infectious and is one of those sounds that will surely be stuck in your head for the rest of the day but, with such a flawless presentation, that’s not the worst thing to be stuck in your head.

Sr. is based in Tucson, Arizona so I honestly don’t know when I’ll get to experience their magic live but you best believe that when they come up here to north country, I’ll be there to support them and sing along to every word of this song and everything else I can get my hands on from this band.
