I’m finding myself fall into a pit of repetitive music. It’s honestly not the worst thing when you’re trying to get a million things done at the same time but I feel like I’m missing out on so much amazing new music that would hit the spot just as well so it’s time to pause the generic playlist and dig into another new song. This one is coming in hot from A Decade Drifting.

A Decade Drifting is a four-piece group from Newcastle, Australia that has such a perfect sound. There’s really no other way to put it. It’s pop-punk minus the aggression, 90’s alt rock with an added sense of attitude. From the catchiest of catchy choruses to the most heartfelt of words, I feel like A Decade Drifting really put everything they possibly could into “Welcome To The New World” which should come off as overwhelming and cluttered yet they put it all together so expertly. There’s a balance between light and dark in this track that instantly captured my heart alongside the all-too-real lyrics. Whether you are getting a million things done today and want to keep going or need a second to just breathe and get grounded again, this is the song for you and A Decade Drifting is the band you need.
