I don’t have a catchy intro right now. Honestly, I just need a break from my emails so now seem as good of a time as any to check out “Manfish” from Haunted Tacoma.

According to the little comment I got attached to this song, the goal of “Manfish” was to “try to equally feature every instrument in the band: guitar, vocal, bass, and drums”. Well, Haunted Tacoma, mission accomplished. Sure, there are moments where certain elements of this powerful rock song stand out more than others but, overall, the balance throughout this three minute and eighteen second song is masterful. Although there is equality throughout this track, the vocals were the part of this track that really got me hooked. They definitely have a bit of a 90s alt-rock quality to them but they also have this sense of power that almost has me wanting to call them hard rock at the same time. Each word is as crystal clear as every drum hit and guitar strum happening behind them. Overall, “Manfish” is full of life and energy (with an epic twist at the end that will surely have you banging your head). It’s a fun little bop that will both make you smile and make you realize just how talented Haunted Tacoma is.
