Things are a bit stressful at the day job today. Everyone just seems to be a bit on edge and I can’t quite figure out why but it has me set off a bit. I need to calm down and get grounded so I can continue on with my day and get all of the things done that I need to get done. Thankfully, Monochromatic Black’s new single “Hail The Queen (The Hive)” is perfect for this.
If you like intense and chaotic, this will be your new favorite song. Monochromatic Black doesn’t waste any time plunging you into their world of intensity when it comes to this song. With zero warning, they hit with you a powerful sound that never really lets up throughout this three and a half minute long track. The thing that stands out to me the most in this song are the vocals. They are intense and truly flawless. The fact that they are coming from a woman is just the icing on the cake. I remember growing up and worshipping Walls of Jericho because of vocalist Candace Kucsulain. I loved the fact that her vocals were just as intense as the vocals in the male-fronted bands I was listening to at the same time and I feel like hearing this song from Monochromatic Black gave me that feeling again. Tanya Beickert’s vocals in this track and in this band in general are stunning and ferocious in all of the right ways. Whether you love this song for the intensity or the fact that it’s the first female front metal band in awhile that comes off as being insanely brutal, “Hail The Queen (The Hive)” is a powerful track that will make you stop whatever it is you are doing and help you find the ground again.
