I can feel myself quickly falling into a haze of exhaustion. My morning energy has worn off and now the lunch I ate is betraying me making me think it’s time for a nap. It’s not and I probably won’t have time for a nap today so I need to push through this bout of exhaustion. Thankfully, the next song I have to share with you is “Change of Heart” from Revision, Revised and this definitely gave me the energy I needed to power through.
There power and mystery behind this song much like the video comes with it. The power is clear but the mystery is a bit more subtle. I find this sense of mystery mostly in the vocals. They are almost whispered but they aren’t. They are hidden at times but, at the same time, they never leave the forefront of this track. It’s a weird thing to try and put into words but a beautiful thing to see come to life in this song and video from Revision, Revised. The ups and downs throughout this nearly four-minute long song are intense and, quite honestly, a bit insane but that just adds to the mystery behind “Change of Heart”. If you’re looking for something heavy but still with a bit of a sensitive side, I definitely think “Change of Heart” is the song for you.
