I am slowly starting to feel like myself again. This is a double-edged sword. I feel like after what happened, I shouldn’t be getting back to normal so quickly but, at the same time, I feel like it’s a sign that everything that happened was supposed to happen. I’m sorry for the vagueness but I’m just not ready to tell you all what happened nor do I know if I will ever be. Long story short, I’m feeling better and I think a part of that is due to the all of the amazing new music that has been helping me cope with my feelings and heartbreak. “Take The Long Way” from Tuk Smith & The Restless Hearts is a prime example of this.

Tuk Smith & The Restless Hearts is a rock band from Nashville, TN. They have a sense of edge and attitude to them that instantly hooked me. It comes through in not only their music, but also the music video for this track. There’s something raw and honest about everything here but also something so perfectly polished. “Take The Long Way” has an almost classic rock feel to it but, at the same time, it doesn’t feel dated. It’s a fresh take on an old style that is just the icing on the cake to the perfection that is this song. “Take The Long Way” will make you smile and also feel a sense of passion and fire that Tuk Smith & The Restless Hearts clearly puts into everything they do. Long story short, this is a powerful and anthemic track that is a perfect way to kick off your Thursday.
