Tuesday night was my first time at a heavy show in what felt like ages so it’s no surprise that I seem to be spending my day revisiting my love for the heavier things like metal and hardcore. “Fell From The Sun” from COMMODITY is fitting that mood oh so perfectly.
“Fell From The Sun is a new track from this Alabama-based hardcore band. It’s off of the group’s EP ‘Between the Lines’ and you best believe that when I’m done listening to this quick two minute jam a couple more times, I will be digging in deep to that EP. This song is intense and aggressive but isn’t super over the top in any way. I love the way it both hits you like a freight train but also gives you a second to breathe if that’s the way you want to spend your time with this song. According to the information I got regarding COMMODITY and this song in particular, this group was started as a passion project between founding members English Madden and Chase Kuykendall. Although they have added some members and have had changes over the years, it’s obviously clear that COMMODITY is still all about passion.
