“Willow” from Swan Mill has been around for two years but I am just now hearing this song and learning about this band. If you’re in the mood for something highly energetic on this Thursday morning, “Willow” is the song for you.
This song may start off fairly slow and chill but it doesn’t take long for Swan Mill to hit you with their powerful pop-punk vibes. I love the fact that this song could blend in with both the emo-pop-punk scene of years gone by and the current revival that seems to be happening. With touches of everything from Boston Manor to Brand New, the amount of emotional power throughout this four minute track is deafening. Another thing I really like about this track is the dynamics. “Willow” has a very dramatic ebb and flow to it but it also transitions so smoothly between those rises and falls. All in all, “Willow” is a powerful track that will fill you with life while also giving you a sense of coziness making it the best way to start your day.
