Girl at the Rock Shows

I don’t have a quirky intro for you right now. It’s a sunny Thursday and another day where my to-do list is much longer than the amount of time in a day but I won’t let it get me down and I won’t let that looming to-do list stop me from doing what I love which is checking out new music so let’s just jump right into it by starting the day off with “Circus Glitch” from My State.

“Circus Glitch” is only the fourth release from My State, but clearly, this band is one to watch. The vocals throughout this song are strong, and that’s the first thing that caught me. They remind me a bit of Schoolyard Heroes with the power that comes with every word. The instrumentation sounds like a “Circus Glitch.” What does that mean? Honestly, I can’t put it into words, but the intricacies that dazzle throughout this song were fun and only enhanced the power of the vocals while giving me a little something extra. The overall flow of this song is slightly choppy, but that just adds to the “Glitch” part of the song title. Just listening to “Circus Glitch” is not enough My State for a Thrusday so, after you check out this song, I highly urge you to check out the other three songs this band has out there.
