Do you ever think about just driving down a familiar road until it becomes unfamiliar? I don’t know what it is, but I feel the urge more and more every day. It’s not a negative feeling at all. More of a restless feeling where I just want to see what’s out there. Ride a road until it ends and see where I end up. Go on an adventure with no destination, only wonder in my heart. Today probably won’t be that day, but when the day happens, “Highway” from The Infinity Chamber will definitely be playing on repeat.
Originally titled “Highway 4000 Blues,” “Highway” is a high-energy song with this super unique folk-rock spin. It’s aggressive and fast-moving, but something about this song is so comforting in all of the right ways. I could feel my foot push against the metal as this song played through and could feel a cool breeze blowing through my hair in such an uncanny way. Am I in the mood to daydream today? Absolutely and that could be why this song hit me so hard this morning but, truly, this is just one of those songs that makes you want to get up and change something. It makes you want to go an adventure and leaves you with an almost fearless feeling in a way. Long story short, “Highway” from The Infinity Chamber is a song for those days when you are feeling restless or for those days when you just need a little spice. It’s a super unique slice of art that will catch your body, mind, and soul all at the same time and all in the right way.
