I warned you that today was going to be a busy day and I wasn’t kidding. I’m not just getting caught up on emails and even, dare I say, ahead on them, I’m smashing through my list of amazing new music to share with you. I mean it when I say buckle up and that’s not just because I’m going to be throwing singles at you fast and hard, it’s because of songs like “Fake Friends” from Jerkazoid.
Hailing from Jerkazoid’s album, ‘Earth in Reverse,’ “Fake Friends” is a short and punchy little anthem about drawing lines. Those lines could apply to anything from a relationship to a job. It’s a choose-your-own-adventure vibe, but it has just the right amount of subtle anger and bombastic energy to help me draw lines that may have been tough for you in the past. Stylistically, this is a no-frills kind of punk song with a chorus that takes you deep into a nostalgic pop-punk world. It’s infectiously catchy yet emotioanlly powerful making it a perfect ride to get you moving on a Monday morning.
