Girl at the Rock Shows

It’s a pop-punk kind of Monday and I couldn’t think of a better track to keep my energy up this morning than “Said and Done” from Sideways.

There’s something a bit aggressive about the vocals in this song that I instantly fell in love with. They have a little Green Day style to the pronunciation to the words but that’s not a perfect comparison. There’s an almost hard rock edge to the vocals that I found intriguing and interesting. The instrumentation is slower and deliberate than some of the other pop-punk anthems I have been checking out this morning but that doesn’t equate to a lack of energy in any way. This song is in your face and powerful and is truly a perfect bop for what you feel your motivation slipping today. With a polished sound and passion coming with every beat, I think it’s safe to say that Sideways is one of those bands we can all expect a lot from in the near future.
