I don’t have anything witty right now. Time is flying by and I can’t seem to get caught up on anything but I won’t let that get me down. Instead, I will celebrate getting everything done thus far today with the amazing track that is “Sixteen” from Solros.
I don’t know why Solros wasn’t on the When We Were Young line-up for this year because, after listening to “Sixteen” from the Swedish band, it’s clear that they would have fit right in. There’s no shortage of nostalgic pop-punk vibes from this song. It’s a sweet ode to those days when we were younger (see what I did there) while also acknowledging that you would not be who you are or where you are today without those years. This is a short and sweet bop at just a hair over three minutes long but don’t let it fool you. This song is so infectiously written and there are many phrases, lines of notes, and parts of this track that will instantly get stuck in your head and leave you wanting so much more from Solros.
