My day is already taking a turn for the worst. I honestly just am not feeling the day and am so ready to go home, take a nap, and reset but that’s not an option. The only option I have is to check out some new music and get completely and utterly lost in it and, thankfully, that’s exactly what happen when I heard “Webs (En Memoria)” from Lives Lost.
The fourth song off of Lives Lost’s concept EP, I instantly loved the emotion that came through in the beginning of this track. It was as if the song was speaking to me with the way it calmed my soul and anxiety so perfectly. Even as the track really starts to hit hard after a quick thirty-second intro, I found a sense of chillness in the deafening power. Maybe this is due to the slow and steady beat or the pure emotion that every word and note comes with, honestly, I can’t quite put my finger on it. All I know is that listening to “Webs (En Memoria)” was not only a cathartic four and a half minutes for me, it was just what I needed to keep powering through the day.
