2 weeks, 8 years. It may not be new but I feel like every track I share with you is new to at least one of you so it’s still worth my time to go back in the archives and dig up some gems. One of those gems is “Misprint (Be Honest)” from Burning Years. After hearing this eight-year-old track for the first time this week, I can’t help but kick myself for not latching onto this band sooner.

Hailing from Austin, TX, Burning Years has a classic pop-punk song meaning we are kicking Thursday off with a little pop-punk-perfection. I mean it when I say perfect. Burning Years has that perfect balance between energy, angst, and emotion which can be heard throughout this song. There’s a very raw and honest feeling that comes through with each of the heartfelt words in this track but there’s also an undeniable sense of energy that comes with every guitar, bass, and drum note. The song is a classic rollercoaster of emotions which is a great way to show a sense of nostalgia while showing the potential that Burning Years has. Spoiler alert, this band has only gotten better with time and, if you have time, I highly suggest you check out their self-titled album that just came out!
