I have Bayline’s upcoming LP sitting on my desk to review. I keep on meaning to get to it but life keeps getting in the way. I promise to get to it this week but, in the meantime, I figured I could give you a little sneak peek in the form of “Sound The Alarm” from their previous EP of the same name.

The first thing that will hit you about “Sound The Alarm” is the beauty. Soft and tender vocals kick this song off but that calming vibe doesn’t last long. Within fifteen seconds, Bayline hits you with a wall of sound full of passion and emotion and a vibe similar to bands like Thrice and Thursday. The band dances between these two worlds throughout this track. The tender and boppy to the extreme and aggressive yet this entire track comes off as accessible and quite perfect. I’m not sure how they blended such contrasting vibes to create one stunning piece of art but they did and they definitely nailed it.

On top of the already flawless nature of the sound of this track is the message. “Sound The Alarm” is a call to everyone to “Sound the Alarm” when you see or hear about abuse of power. Part riotous energy, all passion– this song is one of the most powerful tracks I think I will share with you today so check it out and get excited for Bayline’s upcoming full length album (and be sure to keep your eyes peeled for a review of it from me very, very soon!).
