I feel like I’m coming to terms with a lot of things I can not control today. It’s hard for a control freak like me to do this but I’m in the mindframe that I just have to “tough it out” which means now is the perfect time to check out “Hurricane” from the band toughtitout. I’m hoping that this song gives me the motivation and strength to keep going today.
“Hurricane” is one of those tracks that came to me with no background other than mentioning that toughitout. is a pop-punk band from Salt Lake City. Thankfully, this song tells me everything else I need to know about this group. Although my morning has been stressful moment after stressful moment, as soon as this three and a half minute long song started playing, I felt a sense of comfort. I could literally feel the weight lift off my shoulders within the first minute and I couldn’t be more thankful for that. This song is slow, steady, and fairly somber yet there’s an energizing element to it that makes it far from a slow and sad song. The emotive and beautiful vocals wrapped around me like a cozy blanket as the song played through and, even during the more dynamic parts of this track, I just felt this complete sense of calm. If you’re having a day like I am and just need a reminder to toughitout., I highly suggest you take a second and listen to “Hurricane”. I promise it will change your day around instantly.
