Girl at the Rock Shows

It has been a couple of months since I’ve shared a song from toughitout. with you so this is a reminder of just how amazing this band is. The first single I shared from them was “Hurricane” and it hit me like, well, a “Hurricane”. Now I’m back with their new single “Flawless” which is, sorry, not sorry, “Flawless”.

The second song off of toughitout.’s EP, “Flawless” is a staggering showing of talent and emotion. Dazzling guitars that the band does so well are paired perfectly with heartfelt lyrics that will definitely hit you right in the feelings this Tuesday morning. Most plainly, this song is a pop-punk jam but I feel like that just doesn’t describe the depth of the sound here as well as it should. There are layers on layers that makes this song feel a bit more complicated than your standard pop-punk song but, at the same time, it was that classic catchiness that will surely get stuck in your head for the rest of the day. I’m not sure what is in the water in Salt Lake City right now but I’ll take some of it!
