Not everything that lights a fire under your butt has to be chaotic and intense. I know the previous song I shared with you was heavy but “Younger” from Helena. does the same trick– just with a whole different approach.
“Younger” is an upbeat little jam that will instantly warm your heart. There’s something so free and innocent about the overall song but, as you listen in to the lyrics, you will get hit super hard by a sense of raw emotion. There’s a slight The Swellers influence in the sound here but you also get something almost a bit more indie-pop than that throughout the song. The catchy melody is matched only by the power behind the chorus in this song creating a song that will instantly get stuck in your head. This song is under three and a half minutes long. I feel like it’s not a huge ask to say that you should listen all the way to the end but, in case you need a reason to, there’s a huge and epic twist at the end of this song that will definitely give you goosebumps. It will catch you off guard and make you want to dig into anything and everything Helena. has done because it’s just that genius.
