Happy Wednesday, everyone! I am still desperately trying to play catch up from being sick earlier this week but I won’t let that get me down. I am feeling accomplished and ready to take on the day. Now I just need a new song to help soundtrack that. Will “Suicide City” from Night! Night! be the ticket? Let’s take a listen and see!
Night! Night! wastes no time introducing you to their chaotic and fast-paced energy when it comes to “Suicide City”. Without any introduction, the band hits you with a flurry of activity in the vein of The Jess Lizard and Whores. They have this way of keeping things insanely fast-paced and furious yet “Suicide City” comes off as perfectly curated and crafted. There’s never a moment in this two minute jam where you fear that things may fall apart but, at the same time, I was left completely floored by everything happening at the same time. “Suicide City” will get your blood pumping and light that fire under your butt that we could all probably use a bit more of on a sleepy Wednesday morning so, to answer my initial question, yes, “Suicide City” from Night! Night! is the ticket when it comes to a soundtrack that will keep me going today.
