Happy Thursday! We’re almost to the weekend so that calls for a celebration and the best way to celebrate is to check out some new music. Why waste any time, let’s just jump into the singles of the day starting with “Meaty Ogre” from Another Astronaut.
Another Astronaut is a 4-piece pop-punk band from the Bronx, NY with a classic yet refreshing sound. Their new single “Meaty Ogre” is one of those songs that will instantly get stuck in your head. I love the crystal clear vocals throughout this nearly three-minute song but love how, even with those clear vocals, there’s an edge to this song. The first single from this band since 2018, “Meaty Ogre” will remind you of your DIY punk roots while showing you that there is evolution in this genre in such a perfect way. This song is the first single from the group’s upcoming LP which will be out later this year. After hearing “Meaty Ogre” and listening to it an embarrassing amount of times, I can’t express how excited I am for their full-length.
