I went to the dentist this morning. The good news is I have no cavities and my teeth are looking great (thanks for the years of braces and expensive dental work, mom and dad!). The bad news is I was late to my day job which means my day has been a bit hectic thus far and I haven’t had a chance to share out any singles with you. I apologize about that but I have some super good ones today starting with “Ynoga” from BITE DOWN.
“Ynoga” is the first single off of BITE DOWN’s upcoming EP and if this is just a taste of what’s to come from this band, well, I’m so ready for more. This song is intense and chaotic yet is clearly composed and has true musicianship and talent coming through with every beat. Sure, it’s angry and loud which I know isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but it’s also so full of passion and heart which should be a selling point for anyone with a soul. This song specifically is about a struggle with self-doubt, anxiety, and mental health challenges in general. You can feel that message come through with the intensity in this song. It’s an important message that you may not get from the lyrics alone as they are admittedly hard to understand, but you will get the sentiment just from everything else going on in this track.
