Girl at the Rock Shows

I was getting so much done this morning and feeling good about it but it seems that the email that I referenced in my last post was a sign of what’s to come and now my day has gotten completely insane. I probably shouldn’t be spending time checking out new music when my emails are stacking up so quickly but, at the same time, I need a little break and need a burst of energy and an outlet for some aggression and “Deceived” from Destroy Nothing has given me both of those things.

“Deceived” is the second song from Destroy Nothing’s upcoming album and I can already tell that this is an album I am going to obsess over. Although it took me a second to really get into this track because of the vocals that kick it off, when the band finds their groove at about the 30 second mark, I was hooked. Those vocals that I didn’t quite like at the beginning on this song come in again multiple times throughout the track but, as the song moved forward, it made sense. Although the clean vocal parts in this song won’t ever ben my favorite, everything else about this track especially the energy and hardcore attitude that reigns supreme throughout this song. If you need a burst of energy but also a little outlet for some steam, “Deceived” from Destroy Nothing is the song you need to hear.
